Pink Shirt Day
Pink Shirt Day ... Design Contest
February 26, 2020
Why a pink shirt you might ask?
The idea comes from two Nova Scotia high school students, who, back in 2007, took a stand when a new student was being bullied. The boy was being bullied simply for wearing a pink shirt to school. To show their support, they bought pink shirts to distribute to their classmates to stand in solidarity with the new student.
This year, we thought it would be great to have a DMG pink shirt. We are inviting our students to design a logo or picture that could be screened onto a T-shirt. Parent Council will be sending home information on how to purchase the pink shirts screened with the winning design.
First though, we need the design. We invite your child to come up with their vision of what the design should be, sketch it out on paper, and return it to the school by Thursday, February 6. (design will be printed in all black) We will choose the winning design on that day, and get it off to the printer.
Watch for information coming home soon from Parent Council with details on pricing and order information.
